RESULTS OF FURTHER ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIES SUBMITTED
RES submitted Supplementary Environmental Information (SEI)
to support its application for a 21 turbine wind farm on high
ground between New Inn, Llanllwni and Gwernogle to
Carmarthenshire County Council on 29 February 2012. We held a
further round of public exhibitions on 8-9 March to enable local
people to learn the outcomes of the additional studies the SEI
contains. There is a six week period from the date of
submission for interested parties to register their views about the
SEI with Carmarthenshire County Council.
If it goes ahead, Bryn Llywelyn Wind Farm will provide enough
renewable electricity to meet the average needs of up to 29,000
homes (that's 37 per cent of all the homes in Carmarthenshire).
